CCSD Students Advance to Young Authors State Competition

CCSD Students Advance to Young Authors State Competition

Four Cherokee County School District students won first place in the region and now advance to the statewide Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition!

The annual writing contest is open to students in grades kindergarten through 12 and strengthens literacy by encouraging writing in a variety of genres.  District first-place winners advance to regional competition, and region first-place winners then compete statewide.

Congratulations to our region first-place and honorable mention winners and their teachers!  Our School Board is laser focused on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!
